I ordered this Gritin 100% Blackout Sleep Masks for Women & Men-Zero Eye Pressure Sleeping Eye Mask- Ergonomic Design for my teenage son.
We live in NYC, the city that never sleeps. We want to sleep occasionally, so we use sleep masks, because it never gets completely dark in our neighborhood.
My teenage son’s bed is made up with black linens. He’s been using black sleep masks, but he asked me to find one in a lighter color, because he loses the dark ones in the sheets.
This mask came in a camel color, it was slightly darker than I expected, but a nice brown. I think I was expecting the color of a camel’s hair coat, that sort of tawny pale brown. This is a few shades darker.
The mask is made of memory foam, it is very lightweight. This is my son’s (actually, my whole family’s) favorite kind of sleep mask, the kind with a sort of moat around the eyes. The memory foam is shaped into a wall that surrounds the eye area. This keeps the mask from pressing against the eyes, it also helps prevent light from bleeding through.
The one area where I find light most likely to bleed through a mask is down by the nose. This mask is well-built, my son reported no light leaks, even in the nose area.
There is an adjustable elastic strap on the back of the mask. It has a small plastic buckle you can slide to make the mask more comfortable for your personal needs. My son has curly hair like mine, both of us are not fond of Velcro on sleep masks because our hair loves to get caught in it. The adjustable strap and sliding buckle didn’t pull at his hair, he said the mask was quite comfortable to wear.
This can be folded small for travel. My son folds it in half and tucks it in the pocket of the wedge bolster on his bed. When he forgets, he can find the camel colored mask in the black sheets.

Great light blocking comfortable materials, not good for side sleepers.
I got these to help me sleep at night because I am very light sensitive. The padding around the eyes fits pretty seamlessly against your face. They are great at blocking the light, and you can open and close your eyes with them on because the material is held away from your eyes by the padding.These are made out of some nice soft materials that are not scratchy at all; even the stitching is soft. They are pretty well made and it looks like the stitching and fabric will hold up for a long time. The band is the right size for a petite person like me and doesn’t dig into your ears. I am not the biggest fan of the metal slide on the back, but I do understand that it is there because it allows you to adjust the band.The big issue I had with this eye mask was that it did not work for me as a side sleeper. When you lie on your back, it rests nicely around your eyes with no odd pressures. When you sleep on your side, the padding to keep it away from your eyes pushes into the sides of your face. Trying to sleep with it while laying on my side was risking a major headache.So basically for a medium to petite sized person it will work very well and be comfortable to sleep in, at least as long as they sleep on their backs. Side-sleepers will have an issue with this.

When the description said this sleep mask was "lash friendly," I had my doubts, but it is! I have lash extensions and they never even came close to touching the outside of this sleep mask! I was so pleased!
In addition, these REALLY DO block out the light! AND, they are comfortable; AND they work great for side sleeping, too.
The adjustable strap was perfect for me just as it came, but besides shortening or lengthening it, it also has a little stretch to it. It also came with two pairs of ear plugs.
I'm so glad I got these! They are absolutely perfect!
