purchased two brands sleep mask, this Albatross one and Halos brand. Both are excellent. The Albatross fits better at the nose bridge. After a few months usage of both masks, each preformed well. Light is blocked extremely well even with a lose fit. One thing not mentioned is WHAT IF you are a side sleeper. The mask still offers excellent light prevention when used sleeping on the side. Like all masks so far, the elastic strap does stretch more than desired requiring adjustment. Since it is designed for that, no problem. Strap does seem to resist constant adjustment.

This sleep mask seems very effective in keeping the light out. It is soft and light weight (though it may be less comfortable when the weather gets hot). The only drawback is that because it is so soft it often slides off of my head during the night and ends up on the other pillow. Overall given the written reviews of many of the other sleep masks here on Amazon this seems like the best buy for the money. I thank the person who wrote the positive review. It was based upon that review that I bought the mask.

This sleep eye mask is probably the BEST sleep eye mask I've ever purchased. It's 3D shape fits comfortably around my eyes, blocking out all light to provide that black-out feel. The strap is adjustable so I can make the mask as snug or as loose as I'd like, and the mask stays on all night...regardless of how wild I may sleep. The ear plugs that come with it work good as well...talk about good noise cancellation for a good and peaceful night's sleep! I have bought MANY sleep masks trying to find the PERFECT one. I have a small head, and sleep on my side. So I run into many problems... the metal adjusters cut into my ears, they don't adjust small enough for my head, the velcro runs out before it can secure down to my size... you name it, I've had the problem. Plus on tip of that I have the worst case of sleep insomnia. So, I have had to try to get clever and rig the other masks that I have had just to keep them on, or try to wrap the clips with anything soft to try to keep them from literally cutting my ears. I have a drawer with @10 sleep masks (these are just the ones I STILL have and haven't thrown away yet) but when I tried this mask, as soon as I put it on, it checked EVERY box! So, I was so excited to have my first sleep in it. I still have insomnia regardless, but, when I am able to sleep.... this mask is like sleeping on a cloud. It securely wraps around my head, without coming undone, it doesn't poke me (there are no metal pieces anywhere) the velcro doesn't run out. I can toss at night (I do that a lot) But, I actually sleep more sound and I find myself staying in one position while wearing this mask, and not tossing at all. The nose cut out is perfect, and the thickness keeps all light out for me. The material is silky as butter, it is fantastic. If you are on the fence about this mask, don't be... GET IT. My husband actually knows how hard it has been for me to find a mask and told me I should order 2 or 3 more (just in case I wear mine out and can't get them again. That seems to happen a lot when we find things we like a lot lol) so, I am going to follow his advice and order a few more, because I can't be stuck without this mask to sleep with. It is without a dount the absolute BEST!

I'm very pleased at how this eye mask blocks all light and fits comfortably for me. As other reviewers have noted the band that goes around the back of the head slips, making the mask loose, which also was the case for me. I'm going to try securing the band with bobby pins and see if that helps. Also I read in some reviews that the mask (memory foam part) fell apart after washing. I read the care instructions in the Amazon description that said you should hand wash in water no hotter than 104 degrees. My mask came with no care instructions on the box nor was there any leaflet with instructions so it would be very easy to miss.

The design of this mask is good at blocking light, and I like the adjustable strap at the back because it doesn't have velcro pads (I hate those). However, there is an issue with the padding inside. If you machine-wash this mask a few times, the padding inside will shift around inside the mask and there is no way of putting it back into place without cutting the mask open. This issue could have been avoided by simply adding some stitches to fix the padding into place and prevent it from shifting around inside the mask. In the end you'll have a mask that has a lump of fabric on one side and sits quite uncomfortably on your eyes.

I have um, a prominent nose, haha and the mask works very well and fits snugly. It's very soft. And you can open and close your eyes while wearing it. Yes, it may move a little when side sleeping but that's to be expected. Worth the price for me.
