A workout power tower is a piece of exercise equipment that provides four exercise stations in a compact space. It provides compound exercise workouts for a variety of muscle groups. By compound exercises, we mean exercises that work a variety of muscles at the same time as opposed to exercises that only work one set of muscles such as bicep curls.

Why Buy a Workout Power Tower?

As mentioned, using the four exercise stations on a workout power tower helps you strengthen a variety of muscle groups including the chest, back, forearms, biceps, triceps, and abs. It also increases your heart rate. The four exercise stations include a push-up station, a pull-up station, a dip station, and a leg or knee raise station.

Workout towers are compact and do not require a lot of extra parts such as weights to provide you with resistance during your workout. With a workout tower, the weight of your body provides the resistance. To increase your muscle strength with a workout power tower, you do not increase the weight; you increase the repetitions. So even if you have limited space, you will have room for a workout power tower. Just make sure that you place a mat under the tower to protect the floor.

If at this moment you do not have the strength to lift your body weight, then you can purchase resistance or support bands to reduce some of the weight you need to lift. On most towers, the bars at the various stations are fixed. With towers that allow you to change the number bars, you can increase and reduce resistance. More advanced power towers add additional features such as straps and clip-on handlebars.

The most important feature for a workout power tower is its stability. Shop for towers with the legs spread outward and always try a tower to be sure it supports your weight. If the tower that you want is not stable, you can add weight at its base or uses screws to attach it securely.

Body Size

Those with larger builds may need to look for towers that better accommodate them. You should follow the advice of trying the tower before you buy it, and carefully check the stability at all four stations.

Safety

You should always consider the durability and construction of every feature on a tower.

Look at the manufacturer’s size and weight restrictions and be sure that you and anyone else using the tower is within those limitations.

For your safety, non-slip grips are another important feature on power towers.

If you are not able to assemble the power tower correctly and securely, have a professional assemble it for you. It is worth the price to avoid any injuries.
