Erotic Retcons of Brockton Bay. Any of these will be justified through in universe lore, but it might end up rather flimsy. Note that Gil will count as a Cape, given that he clearly has powers, but not one with a living shard.

Most Common Superpower: Anyone granted powers by a living shard will find their body optimized in an ongoing process. These optimizations are similar to an aesthetically oriented body tune up, giving some small boosts to physical fitness but mostly just making them the hottest version of themselves.

Kiss/kill: A phenomenon found in capes that have connected power sources, such as clustered triggers, which causes affected capes to have unusually strong emotions towards one another, often bordering on obsession. Let’s expand upon that, eh? With this, any strong emotions felt by one cape towards another individual with superpowers and a compatible sexuality will be accompanied with an equal level of lust. They can flip wildly between lust and their normal emotions based on the context, and affairs between archenemies become remarkably common.

Cops and Robbers: When one cape is defeated by another, there is a tacitly accepted understanding that the winner can do whatever they like with the loser as long as there are no long term side effects, and the loser will generally cooperate. Those who break this sacred trust forever forfeit the protection and benefits of this unwritten rule, as everyone will instinctively know of their transgression. Absolutely all capes accept this without question, and receive the benefits of Stress Defense when captured to reduce any mind shattering trauma down to an emotional impact equal to a messy breakup at worst.

Girl Power: The shards distributed by The Warrior favor female hosts, causing natural triggers to occur nearly 10x as often in women as in men. Many such canon characters will be gender flipped to fit this new world order, and nigh-universal bisexuality and very rare futas will be instituted to wallpaper over any changes.

Bonding Triggers: It is not uncommon for someone to undergo a mini-trigger in response to stress related to a sexual or romantic partner, if that partner is also a cape. These mini-triggers can grant minor powers derived from the partner’s shard. Partially in response to this, a culture of free love and casual hookups has formed among capes, whether they are heroes or villains.
