Vista- Open Communication- Approach Vista honestly and try to get her to make a soul pact, trying to sell her on the benefits of being able to get new superpowers and having a 1-up in case she is ever killed. Then, if that doesn’t work, use Gullibility Spray to smooth things over.
Vista- The Shroud- Her maybe-sorta-girlfriend swapping out her super suit with an objectively superior one is likely to go quite smoothly, to be honest. Might not be an instant capture depending on her schedule, but as a small girl with very strong powers but hardly any direct offense or defense options in close quarters, she’s an amazing fit.
Parian- Rose isn’t as close to her as Lily would have been at this point, because she’s had other things on her mind and didn’t specifically focus on playing nice with this one girl. Buuut she can probably get Gil an opportunity to start making deals.
Parian- The Shroud- slightly harder sell, but Parian is almost as good a fit for The Shroud as Vista. Her power is based around manipulating cloth and thread, mostly, so she will have a big intuitive boost to using the Shroud as a power set.
Squealer- try to capture the second in command of the Archer Bridge Merchants. She is a white trash super-mechanic with a foul mouth and curvy figure, and seems to be attracted to powerful assholes. Power: with appropriate materials she can make vehicles that have a wide variety of potential powers; she prefers loud and flashy, somehow integrating a blaring boom box even when making a stealth ATV.
Squealer, Seal of Joy- The odds she’s actually a ride or die girl for a guy like Skidmark are… low. Get your hands on her and show her a great time, and she’s likely to be interested in an alternative l.
Squealer, Dream Pastry- Ireena mentioned this thing is highly addictive, and Gil is the only possible source Squealer could ever find. Get her hooked, and she might be down for a soul pact at some point in the future.
Squealer, Cultural shift- So how do you feel about goblin shortstacks?
Menja, Recast- Gil has already ostensibly captured this sexy Kaiju girl thanks to Rose; lock her down now. If we recast someone, probably the mole for comedic value, into her role she will suddenly have nowhere else to go. She’s an asshole, but we have ways to address that.
Menja, Normalize- Oh yeah. That’s Gil. He’s Menja’s boyfriend, I think. Everyone who knows her will know that Gil is fucking her once he does it once.
Menja, Gullibility Spray- Actually all races are equal, you see, and racism is in fact bad. Turn this bitch’s whole worldview on its head and see what conspiracy theory bullshit floods in to replace it. If we go this route, I’ll probably toss out another poll to see what we tell her.
Othala- The quiet Lynchpin of the Chosen. She’s happily married (despite some minor drama) and a true believer, so it would be pretty hard to get her on our side without Gil pouring on copious amounts of Company Assets. Power: Can give very short term superpowers to others, including regeneration. Powerful in combat, and allows her to get injured warriors back into the fight in record time.
Othala: Cultural shift. You know what’s great about racial supremacists? Very little, but they WILL abandon a group if it’s suddenly full of a group they don’t see as theirs.
Hellhound- Member of the Undersiders. Known to be extremely unstable, she has a kennel worth of giant, vicious demon dogs she sets on anyone that gets into her territory.
Hellhound, Nuzlocke- Gil would LOVE a giant mutant demon dog. Let’s go get one. Readers of Worm can probably guess how well this will go.
Hellhound, Snow White- Our girl can talk down almost any animal and is so unbelievably pure, sweet, and most importantly LUCKY that she might be able to get away with this. Maybe.
Skitter- Member of the Undersiders. An unstable compulsive liar and manipulator with delusions of grandeur and heroism. She has recently claimed an area down near the docks, where she holds court and does a surprisingly decent job as long as you don’t cross her. Power: Can control bugs in a large area around herself, though details are spotty in the PRT records on the exact limits of her abilities.
Brandish- try to capture Brandish, skilled lawyer and less than skilled mother of Glory Girl and Panacea. One of the leaders of the Indy super team New Wave. A tall, athletic blonde with short hair. Can create weapons made of light capable of sheering through steel, and turning into an invulnerable softball made of light. Her husband, Flashbang, is currently a borderline vegetable. Poor guy.
Lady Photon- try to capture Lady Photon aka Photon Mom, mother of the superhero Laserdream. Recently bereaved, losing her husband and son to Leviathan. Co-lead of New Wave. Capable of flight, energy blasts, and creation of force fields.
Laserdream- a member of new wave and by all accounts the most sane and well adjusted surviving member. Has the same power set as her mom, but slightly stronger lasers at the cost of slightly weaker force fields.
Panacea- Far and away the strongest healer that Gil will have heard of in any of the worlds he’s currently been to in this test. Compared to her family she is much more secluded and avoids talking to the media. She’s very strong, but if we are bringing in spoilers she’s probably the most potentially dangerous person on this list to be around.
Glory Girl- An overly aggressive and somewhat spoiled teenage girl who nonetheless is an absolute unit in a straight fight. She’s a pretty blonde dealing with the death of her boyfriend at the big kaiju hands of Leviathan. Powers: According to official records, she’s invulnerable, can fly, and has super strength. It’s slightly more complicated than that, but if she uses her powers intelligently that’s basically accurate.
Flashbang (Character Cards) - Apparently Panacea can’t fix brain damage, but Gil probably can. At the moment he can only do so by turning him into a teenage girl or a Zubat, but currently he can’t feed himself or go to the bathroom. Panacea can probably take it from there. In return, Gil gets to “sell” his old body and powerset.
Miss Militia- try to capture the head of the Protectorate team in Brockton Bay, Miss Militia. She’s a patriot and probably the single super character in the entire Worm webnovel with the fewest questionable decisions. She still has to answer to the mostly non-super PRT. Powers: She can conjure, for her personal use, any conventional weapon. Anything from a knife to a rocket launcher, but no super science shenanigans.
Miss Militia- Absolute Gullibility Spray- Get Flechette and Gil both into MM’s good graces, locking down that transfer.
Battery- A professional, strait laced superheroine. She’s not quite as squeaky clean as she looks, but she’s close. Probably an easier target than MM. Powers: Can stand perfectly still in order to stockpile energy. Releases the energy in short bursts of incredible speed, strength, and durability.
Suggestion Box- Any combo or plan you can think of could be fun and I might give it a shot if it seems plausible.
