Boulder is fine as is. He’s bigger than Blackpaw, and less aggressive. Unacceptably aggressive for polite society, but still way less likely to randomly attack than Blackpaw. Note: bigger doesn’t mean stronger. He has around half as much raw force in his jaws; think of them as a defense build and an offense build.

Blackpaw is fine as is. A nice, uncomplicated fuzzy missile who will probably get himself killed someday but until then he can stay on Snow’s belt.

Azula Card for Boulder - Weirdly the closest thing to getting OG Azula into the party. Dangerous but controlled. If not to Boulder, this is going to Candress to give her an entire additional magical skillset that doesn’t require she drain Skidmark or someone else that leaves free floating “magic” lying around for her.

Fiona card for Boulder - make him a busty but only slightly combat capable blonde. However, Fiona-boulder would be a great mage, with a natural affinity for learning magic and an internal mana reserve that’s quite impressive and works in any setting. Basically, this is a great chassis for a dedicated mage. If not Boulder, this card will be going towards boosting Snow’s situational awareness.

Card Boulder later - he’s fine as a dog for now, and can play with Blackpaw sometimes as another giant canine, but is a bit redundant.

Piura card for Blackpaw- Add some raw mass. These giant moles are a bit larger than a wolf. This would make Blackpaw and Boulder a bit closer in size to one another.

Fiona card for Silky- Same logic of making her a better pocket mage; at the moment she has lightning and healing materia which is a great combo on someone who is also competent in a straight fight

Expensive to a good home: There are so many people in so many worlds that would give their left testicle for a gigantic, fiercely protective doggo that can and will fuck everyone else up, but can’t hurt them personally. Gil can probably get a very good price on resale at the bazaar if he goes looking for a good home, or sell directly to the ziggurat where Boulder would be snatched up within the day as drastically better value than normally found there.
