It turns cultivators into fake deities/cult leaders. Protagonists end up running PR campaigns and staging "miracles" rather than exploring or fighting.

It makes the MC way too vulnerable. Having power tied directly to fragile mortals and destructible temples creates frustrating weaknesses.

The power scaling is boring. Growth becomes a raw numbers game (gaining 100k believers) rather than cool combat techniques or law breakthroughs.
