MOYRA
Moyra is a European band from Poland, playing music at the intersection of melodic death metal and modern metal. The band was formed in 2017 at the initiative of vocalist Margo Moyra, who from the very beginning set a distinctive artistic direction for the group – intense, emotional, and rooted in symbolism. The band’s name refers to the Greek Moirai – the goddesses of fate who spun the thread of each person’s life, determining their destiny. This mythological context forms the foundation of Moyra’s work – both lyrically and visually. The band’s lyrics explore themes of existence, spirituality, and the power of nature, confronting humanity with its fate and the inevitability of passing. Moyra has been successfully developing its career for years, both in Poland and on the international scene. The band has performed at some of the most important metal and alternative festivals, such as Pol’and’Rock, Uwolnić Muzykę Festival, Bangarang Festival, and Gardłoryki. Abroad, they have played in countries including Norway, Sweden, Germany, Czechia, and Slovakia, where their popularity continues to grow steadily. In 2022, Moyra signed a contract with the renowned German label DarkTunes Music Group, which specializes in promoting bands from the dark, industrial, and metalcore scenes. Thanks to this collaboration, the band’s music reached a wider audience and gained recognition across Europe. Threads of Fate (EP, 2017) – the debut mini-album, serving as a preview of the band’s distinctive style and melodic aggression. ReGenesis (EP, 2020) – a continuation of the spiritual and musical journey, featuring greater production scale and ambition. Omen (LP, 2023) – the band’s first full-length album, which received enthusiastic reviews both in Poland and abroad. Filled with intense riffs, powerful growls, and atmospheric melodies, the album stands as a manifesto of Moyra’s artistic maturity.
