The event that influenced me at the beginning of my study career in computer science was at the end of
8 th grade, when I became a teenager. As adolescence, demands alterations in your mindset and you
become more aggressive. However, at that time, all my plans changed from what I outlined with my
parents in the past. Some of my friends began to differ than me and firm relationship started to fade
away between us, so they began bullying. At that time, I controlled myself and kept a distance from my
friends.
I clearly remember that day when my uncle gave me his old laptop (which became my best equipment
ever) and he said "Aziz, take it, but this model isn’t appropriate for playing games..., but..., I wish that
you would use it for your studies." I knew that this model wasn’t good, at least for use. I answered, "I'll
use it for getting knowledge." Despite being old and useless, I used my laptop for my studies. I thought
that acquiring a laptop would be profitable and I started to search for jobs in a browser (however, I was
too young to understand my fault). I read articles about how front-end and back-end developments
were the most profitable jobs in the market. That article motivated me, and I went to a computer
science course.
My teacher had a lot of experience in the field of computer science and teaching students. He taught me
to write code and to use a computer correctly. Although my teacher always gave me extra lessons and
demanded more than others, I did not have an idea why he wanted me to be so hard-working. As a
result, the change in my worldview made me think back to my uncle, to what he said when he gave me
this laptop and made me understand. A year later, pushing myself harder than ever before in web
development, I realized how much I had been lying to myself when I first got the laptop with the desire
to earn money.
