Which of Alexander Scriabin’s Piano Sonatas are your favorite?

by troop91 · 1 year ago
Alexander Scriabin was among the last romantics, his music pushed the bounds of tonality in much the same way that Schoenberg’s would. He was primarily influenced by Chopin whose career was similarly based on the uniquity of the piano. Here, his sonatas and sonata-like pieces will be ranked. These span the length of his career as a composer and showcase an evolving metaphysics of music venturing into such vast polytonalities as to glimpse atonality in his later sonatas. This poll is one which was done by popular demand, so if you have suggestions to add as to which one I could do next, DM me your recommendations! As always, thank you!
