Monaghan welcomed me in as a stranger ( I grew up in Athlone) and made me part of the community. 11 years later I'm proud to call Monaghan my home

Came to Ennis on a weekend break. Staff in the hotel were friendly, a woman in the pharmacy gave me free face cream samples even though I wasn't buying anything there, someone gave me a parking ticket that was paid for in advance so I didn't have to pay for one, a random man in a shop helped me with my heavy bags without asking. Never been anywhere else in Ireland so friendly.

It's, uh... it's coming along. Picking it up. You know, tough transition, but I'm starting to feel better with it.
