We return to the Reptiles/Amphibians/Fish bracket for this matchup pitting the Four-toed Salamander against the Grey Tree Frog. You'll find both these species in the wet woodlands of Ontario, and they have some neat abilities.
So, who wins this match? That depends on your votes, so cast them now!
The four-toed salamander is named because it has (surprise) four toes on both its front and back legs, while other salamanders typically have five toes on their back legs. But salamanders are neat creatures that born in ponds and transform from water-breathing young to land-walking air-breathers, and they have the ability to regrow lost limbs and portions of organs. These are tremendous superpowers, and you can learn more about them here: https://animalia.bio/four-toed-salamander
The Gray Tree Frog is not to be outdone, however. It can change colour, from their usual grey, brown or green to black or almost white, to help it blend in with its surroundings and avoid predators. And if the camouflage doesn't succeed, these frogs produce a poison on their skin that can sicken predators (the poison is only mildly irritating to humans, but you should still wash your hands if you've touched a tree frog, and never touch your eyes afterward until you do).
