Who Should Move On to the Final Four?

by James Bow · 1 year ago
We now move on to the Champion of the Plants! Who among our contestants will advance to face the Animal Kingdom in the Final Four? The Bitternut Hickory is fresh from its victory against the Bur Oak in Round 2, and a previous Champion of the Plants, the Trout Lily in Round 1. It is a favourite tree for reforestation here at rare. Will it join the Trout Lily and the Red Maple as this year's Champion of the Plants? But facing it is the Canada Anemone, which beat the poisonous White Baneberry in Round 1, and the feisty Shaggy Mane in Round 2. This native ground cover can be found in forests throughout Canada (save for Newfoundland), and it provides beautiful blooms in the spring. They certainly deserve to share space in our forests, but only one can advance to the Final Four, and that depends entirely on your votes! Cast your ballots below.
