Mozart was one of the most prolific composers in history, Innovating and mastering every genre of music within his short life. Included amongst those works which arguably saw the most development are Mozart’s many concerti and concertanti. The interaction between soloist and orchestra was one of Mozart’s favorite to explore. Here, pick up to 20 of his concerti you enjoy, this list includes the complete and incomplete concerti, the single movement orchestral works for solo instruments which Mozart wrote as well as his sinfonia concertanti. This list does not include his concerti which were arrangements by other composers. The options below are arranged into categories of concerti for Piano, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds and Multiple instrument concertanti. Expect a ranking similar to those others on my page displaying the results of this poll in the following weeks.
