The stars and stripes and red, blue, white are still prominent in this design. There are still 13 stripes to represent the country's original 13 colonies. The stars are divided into sets of three. One set represents the three branches of government: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. The second set represents the three parts of the constitution: The Preamble, the 7 Articles, and the Amendments. *OR Alternatively, it could represent "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". There are six total stars, one for each branch of the military: The Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard. Speaking of the Coast Guard, the eagle imagery is directly taken from there, with the shield removed. I wanted the U.S. to have their signature seal on their flag. As with theirs, the two pieces in the eagle's feet are arrows and olive branch, representing the fine line between peace and war. Traditionally, the eagle's head points towards the side the country is currently exhibiting: peace or war. In this case, peace. My head space thinks this could be a cool "dynamic flag", where if the U.S. is unhappy with certain international events, the flag with the head pointing to the arrows is brought out. As tensions die down, the flag can be replaced with one pointed at the olive branch. It's an interesting thought!
