by Abdurakhmon · 4 years ago
“Service to others is a rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” This saying by Muhammad Ali has inspired me to become a doctor as there is no better gift or service to another human being than gifting them a healthy and productive life. Observing thousands of doctors in the world who are risking their lives to save others’ during the current pandemic has made me even more determined to work amongst them. A few years ago I had the pleasure of visiting Harvard University, where my father had been doing his doctoral research. This visit created a strong desire in me to pursue my academic career at this prestigious university. Since medical programs are offered only in the graduate level in the US, I wanted to get a solid background in the field of medicine in the undergraduate level. With its world-renowned faculty members, world-class academic programs and western-style campus, Akfa University was an obvious choice to start studying medicine. As part of my preparation to enroll in Akfa University, I have received an IELTS score of 8, as well as 2nd place in Akfa’s Olympiad in English. If I’m admitted to Akfa University, this would be the launch of my dream academic career. Upon graduation from the School of Medicine in Akfa University, I plan to continue my research at Harvard Medical School. A degree from Akfa Medical School coupled with a research at Harvard Medical School, would enable me to become an established expert in the field of medicine and to contribute to the development of the field of medicine in Uzbekistan. I plan on doing so not only as a doctor, but also as a researcher and a professor in this field. Most people believe that Muhammad Ali has paid his share of the rent in this world by promoting equality and justice. I hope to do my part by helping people live healthy and productive lives, as well as sharing my experience with those who share my vision. Admission to Akfa Medical School would be my first step in this journey.
