I’m a shifter. The circumstances of my birth plunged me into the dark depths of society. There’s no place in the normal world for me. On top of that curse, I was born with an innate ability to do magic. I don’t understand the source but it has gotten me out of some tough situations. I have learned to love the squalor. I make myself filthy so that people passing by will overlook me. No one pays attention to those that they look down on. I’ve kept myself alive by stealing from them all, and using my magic to generate some income every now and then. I feel like my life is about survival, I’ve never known comfort. I recently met a person like me, in passing. They said there’s a place for people like us. I didn’t have time to ask questions before they vanished as quickly as they had appeared to me. I’m more curious than ever. Could there be hope that I could find answers about my true nature? Perhaps find my parents? I’m willing to leave the comfort of my filth to understand who I am.

I am smarter than you, and I know it. But don’t feel bad, I am happy to share what knowledge I feel I can impart. I have devoted my life to understanding the world in which we live and the magic that courses through its veins. In my studies, I became aware of something truly spectacular and it has only raised more questions the deeper I’ve delved. I want to know more but I need help. I learned that in the past, spells of immense power have been cast. Greater than 9th level, which itself is unimaginable to me. All I have is the knowledge that this has been done, but I know not by whom or how. I will pour through every library in the world to learn how this can be done!

I am the greatest liar I know. I have made a name for myself by making those around me laugh and feel comfort. But it’s a rouse to take their hard earned cash! I’m a mean lute player as well. I’ve never been serious in my life, at least not to the knowledge of those around me. I tend to go about life based on vibes alone. Recently I have been plagued by a bit of an artist’s block. I’m simply unable to come up with new material. I think I’m just complacent and bored of this place. I crave adventure and excitement. Perhaps this (very) humble bard needs to get out there and slay some monsters and save some princesses or something!

I was raised by a pack of wolves after being abandoned at birth. Thrown away like a piece of garbage. I will always harbor resentment for that. But I learned to live off of the land like few others ever could. Silvanus blessed me with the ability to become a wolf myself, I’m still working on it, it comes and goes. In my speaking with my found family, I have learned that my abandonment was not an accident. My parents threw me to them to be killed and eaten. I am leaving my pack now that I have reached an age where my rage and hatred for my parents outweighs my desire to stay with my true family in these woods. I want answers, or blood. Whichever comes first.

I’m an angel cast down from the heavens. I saw horrors unimaginable to most people. They stripped me of all of my power, but I have sought out power from a different source. I have hatred in my heart and my soul is a black hole that echoes the nightmarish reality I’ve seen. I want to take down the heavens themselves. But I must first get my strength back. I will do whatever it takes to see my goals to fruition. I know that I need more people for my cause. Though I doubt that anyone will be receptive immediately. I need to earn their trust, prove myself, and only reveal my nature and goals to those that I trust and who trust me.
