So chief, what’s the plan?

Risk: Low- Pure observation. We brought Lucan’s boys in case something goes wrong, not because we intend to fight with them. There’s vanishingly little chance that Balin will survive or succeed, and Iseult will almost certainly be kidnapped, but Gil will know exactly how it happened and hopefully how to counter it.

Risk: Medium-Low. Ride-along. Rose can take up residence in Iseult’s head once the battle begins, acting 99% as a passive observer. If he successfully gets to the Queen and kidnaps her, Rose will get to see how he controls/manages/processes women into new recruits. She’s completely immune to capture, most other lures or consumables will have a reduced effect on her as a possessing entity, and she can return to her own body with just a thought. There’s a tiny chance she will be affected adversely, and an equally tiny chance that she will get the chance to lodge an exploding knitting needle into Kusai’s skull.

Risk: Medium-low. Parlay. Ask the guy what he wants. Gil is a mercenary, and if he plays that up he might be able to get Kusai to try to buy him off. There’s not a ton that would be good enough to convince Gil to actually turn on Lucan, but he might be able to con something out of Kusai with clever wordplay and get a better idea of the guy. Or use the whole meeting as a distraction.

Risk: Medium-low. Harassment. Reveal ourselves just enough to split Kusai’s attention. We will lean on ranged and remote options as best we can unless Kusai massively overextends. Hellawes does in fact have a few handy powers she can use on a battlefield, and will be using most of them for anything higher tier than this.

Risk: Medium. Ship sinking. If that ship is how he’s getting around so quickly, then take it away. Echidna armed with the Astral Sword should be able to chop off the masts pretty quickly and easily if Lucan’s Dirty Dozen can keep any defenders off of her long enough to do it. Then we fuck off. Fighting 35ish credits worth of defenders is at least plausible if we get in and out, and if we can kill or disable any of them? So much the better.

Risk: Medium-high. Rescue Op. Yes, try to damage the ship, but also commit to trying to extract or at least get visual confirmation on some of the women Kusai kidnapped. There are fewer obvious “new recruits” than there are reported kidnappings, and we don’t really know what kind of binding he is using yet.

Risk: Medium-high. Kidnapping. Alternatively, instead of rescuing the damsels in distress we try to abscond with one or more of the offworlders that Kusai brought with him. They’ll know a hell of a lot more about his operations, and if we interrogate them on the fairy paths he (probably) won’t be able to mount a meaningful rescue op. We will probably opportunistically do this in any event if a golden opportunity presents itself, such as knocking someone out without killing them or if he brought along any noncombatants.

Risk: Medium-High. Queenkiller. Actively try to kill Kusai’s T5s and T6s, putting sincere effort into doing it as a primary objective instead of an opportunistic side thing. If this doesn’t win, the intent will be to distract and skirt around the heavy hitters, engaging only as much as strictly necessary.

Risk: High - Clash. Punch Kusai in his stupid face. Metaphorically, of course. Gil isn’t likely to survive a direct off the cuff confrontation with an unknown T5 and his waifu brigade. However, we do have Rose and Echidna. Rose can punch a hole through just about anything if she can get her power to behave, and Echida is a giant fucking snake. Go for broke.
