I believe that this is being caused by people thinking current democrats are feckless. I think if they embrace a more combative stance, while also addressing issues about affordability, that will mitigate the appeal of leftists candidates

I wouldn’t make concessions. I think we should condition arms to Israel and try to empower liberal voices over there but I’m opposed to a lot of what the hard left suggests in relation to fopo otherwise (including on Israel, but also especially Ukraine, Taiwan, NATO). No concessions, just working towards more just solutions.

Directly engage with the "hard left" along with the democratic base to advocate for better policies where their policies suck, and bring evidence. Its been working for Yimbyism. A lot of the "hard left" true believers are not bad faith actors like MAGA. Of course there are a lot of hard-left grifters, but their followers aren't as dumb as MAGA, and so they will eventually have to bend the knee to evidence.
